Just hit 10,000 cups served at my coffee cart in Portland

I was counting my paper cup orders yesterday and realized I've handed out exactly 10,047 drinks since I started my cart on SE Hawthorne last March. That number hit me hard because I remember being nervous I wouldn't get 50 orders my first week. Has anyone else ever tracked a specific number at their job and been surprised by it?

Wait, you actually count? I've been slinging drip coffee in Seattle for two years and I'm pretty sure I've hit "a lot" and called it good. 10,000 cups? Man, that's like... a full-on mountain of paper and regret. I'd probably accidentally count ten thousand cups of spilled milk and panic.

Right? But honestly, a lot is probably close enough for government work. I just started keeping a tally on my phone after I kept guessing way low.
