Hot take: I used to think customers who asked for extra sauce were just being annoying
A guy at my register last month told me I was 'stingy with the ranch' and that I should just give out extra without asking for 50 cents. I told him it's store policy and he said the policy was dumb. I thought about it for a few days and realized he was kinda right for fast food. Now I just give an extra cup for free and no one complains about the price anymore. Has anyone else changed a policy they thought was fine after one customer called it out?

That extra sauce thing really makes you think how small changes can change a whole interaction though. One time at a diner the cook started adding an extra scoop of gravy to every plate and suddenly we had regulars lining up for those cheap Thursday specials just because of that little extra.
