Had to pick between a fast cashier job or a slow paced stock role

I went with the stock role at a grocery chain near Denver because I hate small talk. Anyone else choose a slower gig over tips and regret it or love it?

I lived in Denver for two years and those grocery stores are absolute chaos during tourist season. Stock roles let you hide in the back or just quietly fill shelves while listening to music, no one bothers you. Cashiers have to deal with people asking where the bathroom is every five seconds while getting yelled at about coupon policies. You absolutely made the right call, stock work is way more chill and you don't have to fake a smile all day.
