Customers who hand you cash and then say 'just give me a twenty back' before you even count it

I work drive-thru and yesterday three different people did that, then got mad when I had to recount their cash because they interrupted my count and shorted me $5 on the second one.

$20 bill trick is the OLDEST scam in the book. My buddy runs a gas station and he sees this every single day. They hand you a $50 and ask for a $20 back real quick, hoping you forget the original amount and just hand them change for a $20. I've watched people do it to him at the register - they talk fast, act friendly, and if you pause to count twice they get all huffy. Next time stop counting, look them dead in the eye, and slowly recount every bill out loud. Makes them nervous every time.
