A customer's comment about my checkout speed changed how I bag groceries

Last Tuesday this older lady watched me pack her stuff and said 'you're gonna crush my bread with those cans on top, sweetie.' I always thought speed mattered most, but I was just tossing things in without thinking about weight. Now I put heavy stuff at the bottom and bread or eggs go in last, every single time. Has anyone else had a shopper point out something obvious that you just never noticed?
