Switched from a cheap $25 trimmer to a professional one and the difference is insane
I was using a bargain trimmer from a big box store for my first year in the shop. Last month, I finally invested in a Wahl Senior cordless. The cheap one pulled hair and the battery died mid-fade constantly. The Wahl is smoother, holds a charge all day, and my clients actually notice the cleaner lines. Is the jump in price always worth it for your main tools, or can you make cheaper gear work with enough skill?

Pulled hair and died mid-fade" is a perfect summary of my first haircut attempt on myself. I definitely learned that good tools matter the hard way.

How bad was the cleanup, @rowanc29? My first try looked like I let a toddler loose with the clippers.
