Shoutout to the old timer who told me to use a straight razor for the back of the neck. I thought it was just for show, but after a client with thick hair in Cincinnati asked for a super clean line, I gave it a shot. The result was the sharpest taper I've ever done.

I always thought straight razors were just for looks too. Trying one on a tough neckline proved me wrong. That clean edge really does make a difference.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way too, @rosel83. Bought a fancy one thinking I'd look cool, then nearly took off a chunk of my chin on the first try. My neck looked like I lost a fight with a cat. Took me weeks of practice to not look like I shaved in the dark. That clean line is no joke once you get the hang of it, but man, the learning curve is real.
