Rant: The walk-in who brought his own clippers to my chair in Tucson

I had a guy come in around 2pm on a slow Tuesday, sat down, and pulled out a pair of dull-looking clippers from his backpack. He said, 'Can you just use these instead? My old barber swears by them.' I tried one pass on the back of his head and the blade snagged a patch of hair. He got upset when I told him I'd rather use my own equipment, but I'm not about to work with something that could pull a client's hair out. I charged him a $10 touch-up fee and he left grumbling. Has anyone else had clients bring supplies and expect you to use them?
