Picked the $600 clipper over the $200 one, still not sure it was worth it

Had to decide between the new cordless model with all the hype and the older wired beast my mentor swore by. Went with the expensive one last month because my arm was killing me from cord wrangling. It cuts smooth and the battery holds through a full Saturday, but honestly my fades look about the same. Anyone else drop big money on gear and feel like the skill gap was in their head the whole time?

Man, I felt that "skill gap was in their head" line so hard. I did the same thing last year, dropped way too much on a fancy trimmer thinking it would magically fix my lineup game. It didn't. The cordless freedom is nice and all, but at the end of the day my cuts look identical to what I was doing with the cheap one. Sometimes I wonder if we're just paying for the feeling of confidence, not the actual results. But hey, at least your arm isn't fighting a cord all day, that alone might be worth something. We live and we learn, right?
