I just cut my 1000th head of hair in my shop

I was cleaning up my books from the last six months and the total hit me. It's been five years since I opened my chair in Austin, and that number felt like a real turning point. Has anyone else hit a big client count that made you stop and think about your work?

My barber in Houston hit 5,000 a while back and said it made him feel like a real part of the neighborhood.

Oh wow, that's a huge number. I saw a piece about how barbershops are like community hubs, especially when they stick around that long. They said it's not just haircuts, it's where people catch up on local news and stuff. That's so cool he feels that way.

Honestly that "community hub" idea janaw11 mentioned feels a bit overblown. It's still just a service job at the end of the day, counting heads doesn't change that. You ever feel like those big numbers are just for show?
