Found out the average barber cuts 7 miles of hair in a year and now I stare at my clippers different
I was reading a trade mag in the shop during a slow stretch and it said the average barber cuts about 7 miles of hair over a year. I did the math on my own chair, roughly 15 cuts a day, 5 days a week, and it started to click why my wrist aches by Friday every single time. What surprised me more was the part about blade care, it said dull blades pull hair instead of slicing it and that adds up to a lot of extra stress on your hands over months. I swapped my blades out that afternoon and the difference on a skin fade was wild. Any of you keep a log of when you change blades or do you just go by feel?
