PSA: Stop calling every challenged book 'ban-worthy' without reading the actual complaints

Has anyone else dealt with boards leaning on secondhand summaries, like that 2022 Texas case where they banned a book based on a 3-star Goodreads review, and what do you bring to push back and make them read the actual text first?
