I sat through the board meeting last Tuesday and one mom kept saying it was 'pornographic' but couldn't name a single scene when asked. Three kids in my daughter's class checked it out from the public library the next week, so the ban just moved the reading somewhere the parents can't see it. Anyone else notice the books that get pulled are always the ones that make adults look bad, not the ones that make kids feel bad?
