Caught a librarian whispering about removing 'The Giver' from the shelf at a county board meeting in Ohio
She said it was because kids might 'question authority too much' which is literally the point of the book... I sat in the back and just listened, but it made me wonder how many other books get quietly yanked without anyone noticing. Has anyone else spotted titles vanishing from their local library without a formal challenge?

Huh, I mean I get being protective of kids but isn't the whole point of a library to have different views out there?
