A librarian in Fort Wayne pointed out my banned book display was all one kind of story, so I fixed it
She said every book I put out was a teen coming of age story, which made it easy for parents to say the whole display was just for one age group. Now I mix in picture books, adult novels, and nonfiction like Anne Frank's diary, and it's a lot harder for people to write off the whole table. Has anyone else had a display get criticized like that?
