The P2P transfer that made me check my cash flow at 11pm

I sent $500 to a contractor via Zelle for a payment portal upgrade, then realized I'd never once looked at my daily settlement timing until the pending charge sat for 36 hours. That tip from a friend at a local credit union in Denver made me switch to batch reviews, has anyone else found their real bottleneck is just when money actually lands?

Oh man, this hits way too close to home. I did the same thing last month, sent a payment for a website update and forgot that weekends don't count for bank processing. Sat there refreshing my account like it would magically go through. Now I check the settlement times before I send anything over $100.

Wait, is this like a universal thing we all do? I literally did the exact same thing two weeks ago sending money for my car insurance and I was so sure it went through. I even called my bank like a fool and they were like "ma'am it's Saturday." Now I have a whole calendar reminder thing set up so I don't send anything important on Fridays after like 3pm. And the worst part is I still catch myself checking my pending transactions every five minutes when I know good and well nothing's gonna move. It's like my brain refuses to accept that banks just don't work on weekends.
