Spent 45 minutes on a phone tree just to reset my online banking password
Called my bank to fix a login issue on Friday, and after navigating menus and getting transferred three times it took over an hour to get a simple password reset done for a business account. Is this normal for everyone or did I just hit a bad day with their support system?

...so my buddy Dave spent two hours on the phone with his electric company last week trying to figure out why his bill doubled. He got transferred to four different people, one of them hung up on him by accident, and in the end they just told him to submit a form online and they'd look into it. He called back the next day and a different agent fixed it in ten minutes. It's like these companies just roll dice to see if you get someone who actually knows what they're doing or someone who's reading off a script from 2005. Your password reset thing sounds about right honestly, they make simple stuff complicated on purpose so you give up.

Got to agree with you man, I went through the exact same thing with my internet provider last month. Ended up calling back and pressing zero a bunch of times until I got a real person instead of the automated system. That cut my wait time way down and the person fixed my speed issue in about five minutes. Sometimes you just gotta game the system a little to get past the phone tree nonsense.
