Remember writing checks at the grocery store like it was 1999?

I used to stand there filling out the date, amount, and signature while the cashier stared daggers through me, now I just tap my phone and walk out in 10 seconds. Has anyone else forgotten how to write a check properly after going fully digital?

Stopped by the bank yesterday to deposit a birthday check (yes, people still give those!) and froze up when the teller asked me to endorse it. Had to ask for a pen and slowly write "For deposit only" like I'd never held a check before. My kids thought it was hilarious watching me try to remember how to do something so simple.

Wow, @wendyc53 I totally get that frozen feeling! It's wild how fast our brains drop old skills when we don't use them anymore. The teller probably sees that blank stare from half the people under 40 these days.
