Opened a business account at a credit union last Thursday, what a difference

I went to a big national bank first because I thought it would be faster. Waited 45 minutes just to talk to someone about opening a simple business checking account. Then they hit me with a $50 monthly fee unless I kept a $5,000 minimum balance. I walked out and drove to a local credit union near my shop in Portland. Got the whole thing set up in 20 minutes with zero monthly fees and actual human help. The teller even remembered my name when I came back to deposit a check yesterday. Has anyone else ditched the big banks for a credit union with their small business?

Yeah the 'outdated' thing is a weird myth, right? I'm actually curious since you made the switch too, how'd you get over that initial hesitation? Was it something specific that finally pushed you, or did you just get fed up with the big bank fees like I did? For me it was when they started charging for paper statements, that was the last straw.

Used to think credit unions were outdated, but man was I wrong.
