My bank's app showed a pending transaction that sat for 6 days and I almost overdrafted because of it

I called customer support and found out if you manually refresh the pending transactions list it clears them out faster, so now I always refresh right after I make a purchase to avoid that lag. Has anyone else noticed this glitch?

Wait, does refreshing actually clear them or just update the display?

Yeah this happened to me with my credit union back in 2022. I had a gas station charge sit as pending for like 8 days and it kept showing my balance higher than it really was. I almost bought something expensive thinking I had the money. So I started doing the same thing you do now. I just refresh the app like crazy after every purchase just to make sure it clears. It is super annoying but at least it works.
