My 12-year-old nephew just explained crypto to me using a bag of trading cards
I was over at my sister's place in Tacoma last weekend, and my nephew saw me checking my bank app. He asked if I was 'buying Bitcoin'. I laughed and said no, I was just paying a bill. He then spent the next ten minutes explaining how his friends trade digital cards in a game, and how it's 'like a bank but with pictures and no grown-ups'. He said, 'Aunt Emma, you just send the picture and you get the money, it's easy.' It hit different because he made the whole complex idea of digital value transfer sound so simple, while I'm over here stressing about wire fees. Has anyone else had a kid give them a surprisingly clear take on money stuff?

That's a smart kid... but maybe clarify that sending the picture isn't what sends the money. The digital record does.

Read an article that said people get confused cause the picture looks like the actual check. The system just reads the info and moves money around.
