I used to write checks for my rent, but my landlord switched to an app called RentDrop last year and it's way easier.

RentDrop, huh. Did your landlord make you switch or was it optional? I'm always suspicious when a company pushes a new app, feels like they're getting a kickback or something. What's the actual fee structure look like on your end?
