Heard a teller in Boise tell a customer 'your money should never sit still for free', and it stuck with me
She was talking about a basic savings account paying 0.01%, but it made me move $2,000 into a high yield account the same afternoon. Anyone else have a random comment from a stranger push them to finally fix something small?

Did a bank teller really just drop a life motto on you over a 0.01% account? That is like a waiter at Denny's telling you to seize the day while handing you a soggy waffle. But hey, it worked, so I can't even make fun of it too hard. My version of this was a guy at a tire shop who looked at my spare and just said "you know that thing's got a shelf life, right?" I bought a new one that week. Strangers have a way of saying the thing your own brain has been ignoring for months.
