Wired $9,000 to my online broker and the transfer took 11 days to clear, bank said it was 'normal'
Needed the cash in my account fast for a buy I'd been watching, and my bank branch in Boise couldn't tell me where the money actually was for over a week. Spent 40 minutes on hold twice just to hear that ACH transfers between banks and brokers "can take 5 to 10 business days." Anyone else get stuck waiting like this, or is wiring the only way not to lose a week?
