Transferred $300 to a brokerage account just to test the waters

I opened a brokerage account three months ago through my bank's platform but only deposited the minimum to see how it worked. Turns out the trading fees are double what I'd pay at a discount broker, which ate up my tiny profit on two small stock buys. Has anyone else dealt with hidden fees on bank-run investment accounts?

Yeah but honestly how much are we really talking here? Like a couple bucks a month or some stupid fee for using an out of network ATM? Big deal. People act like banks are robbing them blind when half the time its just standard stuff they agreed to somewhere in the fine print. Banks are for profit businesses, they dont exist to be your buddy. If the fees are like $5 a month just move on with your life.
