Pro tip: I was paying bank fees to move money into my brokerage for 4 years
I used to set up a wire transfer from my bank to my brokerage every time I bought a chunk of an index fund, and it cost me $25 each time plus a two day wait. My brother in law pointed out I could just link the accounts with ACH and move it for free in about 48 hours, which added up to over $600 in fees I set on fire at Chase. Now I batch transfers once a month and the money lands without the fee. Anyone here still paying for outgoing wires to fund their account, or did I just miss something obvious?
