Nah, @kai564, you're missing the point. The broker's system crash was a sign that the timing was off, and trying to lock a rate during volatility is just gambling. If the market moves that fast, waiting a few hours could actually lock in a better deal than rushing.

Actually, that crash could have cost someone a good rate. Markets move fast, and that locked rate might have been the best one all day. Now they're stuck hoping it comes back down.
