A teller in Round Rock said to ask for the broker's fee sheet in writing, and it saved me $1,100
Was about to move my mom's savings account to a guy who cold called her, and the teller at her bank pulled me aside and said to get his fee sheet in writing first. Turns out he was stacking a 1.2% annual wrap fee on top of the fund costs, which would have run her about $1,100 a year on what she had. We ended up keeping most of it at the bank in a CD and only moved a small chunk. Has anyone else had a branch employee give them advice that actually worked out?
