Vent: Wasted $60 on a fancy proofing basket that ruined my bread

I bought this expensive banneton basket online because everyone said it gives bread that perfect shape. First time I used it, I didn't flour it enough and my dough stuck so bad I had to scrape it out with a knife. Lost the whole loaf and the basket is all crusty now. Anyone else have better luck with just a regular bowl lined with a towel?

Wait you had to scrape it out with a knife?? That sounds like a nightmare. I got one a few months ago and now I'm scared to even try it.

Everything's designed to break or get ruined now so we have to buy new ones lol
