Update: my sister in law swears boxed cake mix is cheating, but her scratch cakes keep sinking in the middle
She baked three from scratch for her daughter's birthday in Toledo and all of them caved in, while my $2 mix cake came out flat and level. Is it really cheating if mine actually works, or am I missing something with the scratch thing?

Oven temp's probably off, scratch cakes are way less forgiving.
