My sourdough starter used to live in a jar on the fridge and I'd forget about it for a week.
After it exploded and covered my kitchen ceiling in Portland with sticky goo last month, I moved it to a clear plastic tub with a loose lid on the counter. What's the weirdest place your starter has ended up?

My starter's weirdest spot was probably the back of my closet. Forgot it in a bowl under some sweaters for two weeks. Came back to find it had climbed out and made a dried crusty pancake on the floor. The smell was like old gym socks and vinegar. Lesson learned, nothing is safe from a hungry starter.
