Heads up about choosing between cake flour and all-purpose for angel food cake

Honestly, I picked all-purpose to save a trip to the store and my cake came out dense and sad, like a sweet brick, so has anyone else actually had a win using AP flour for something that really needs cake flour?

Ugh, that's the worst. It's like when you try to skip a step in any recipe, you always end up paying for it later lol.
