A baker friend told me to stop obsessing over exact measurements

She said after 10 years of baking, she just eyeballs flour and sugar now. Tried it with a batch of cookies last night, and they came out better than when I weigh everything. Has anyone else given up on precision and had it work out?

I used to be a total measurements guy too but honestly you've convinced me to try this.

Stopped obsessing over the exact numbers myself. Realized I was just chasing a feeling, not a measurement. @ryan952 you nailed it. Now I just cook until it looks right and tastes good.
