The week my sourdough starter decided to go nuclear

It tripled in size overnight and overflowed its jar all over my fridge. I had to use a full bag of flour just to get it back under control. Has anyone else had a starter go completely wild like that?

Mine once ate through a plastic lid, just a sticky mess.

Ugh, @the_abby, that's the worst kind of cleanup. Did you get the sticky stuff off the container? I've found soaking it in really hot, soapy water for a while helps loosen it up. Then you can usually scrape the last bits off with a plastic scraper or even an old gift card. It takes some patience, but it saves the container.
