Switched from glass bowls to metal for my stand mixer about 2 years ago
I used to always use glass bowls for mixing dough, but after cracking one on a busy Saturday morning at the diner, I grabbed a metal bowl from the supply closet. Now the dough warms up slower and the mixer doesn't wobble as much because the metal is lighter. Has anyone else noticed a real difference swapping bowl materials?

Oh, I hear you on that! I switched from glass to metal a few years back and it was like night and day. The dough doesn't warm up as fast, which is a lifesaver for breads that need a long rise. And you're right about the wobble - my mixer used to dance across the counter with a heavy glass bowl, but the metal one keeps it steady. I also find clean-up easier because metal doesn't hold onto grease like glass sometimes does. Just wish I'd made the swap sooner!
