A customer told me my pie crusts were too tough and I got defensive at first

She said they reminded her of store-bought, which stung because I make everything from scratch. Turns out I was overworking the dough and not letting the butter get cold enough - 3 minutes of extra mixing was the problem. Has anyone else had to unlearn a basic habit they thought was fine?

Oh wow, @jamie_clark, are you seriously asking that right now? It's like asking if forgetting to pay your internet bill is a big deal when you're three episodes into a binge watch - it's a whole mood killer. Honestly, if this isn't a big deal then I'm a banana, and spoiler alert, I'm definitely not a banana.
