Waitress at Denny's called out my 2AM chili habit

Stopped in last Tuesday after a closing shift at the warehouse. Same waitress, Maria, seen me order the chili for the third time that month. She sat down across from me and said, 'You keep eating this because it's cheap, not because you like it.' She was right. I hate that chili. $8.49 every time and I never once finished a bowl. Has anyone else had a stranger point out a habit you kept just out of routine?
