I blew $180 on a used bread machine and I still say it was worth every penny
Everyone in my frugal group says bread machines are thrift store junk that ends up in a closet. I got a Zojirushi on Facebook Marketplace for $180 back in March and I use it at least 4 times a week, so that's already down to about a buck a loaf. My neighbor paid $6 for a sad store loaf yesterday and mine cost me maybe 40 cents in flour. Anyone else got a kitchen gadget people call a waste that actually pays for itself?
Ha, your frugal group would hate my kitchen then. I've got a rice cooker I bought for $150 that gets used pretty much daily, and my mother in law called it a waste of counter space right up until she tried the rice. That thing has outlasted two microwaves at this point. People just don't do the math on stuff they use all the time.
