Three weeks to figure out my hens were just bored, not sick

My girls stopped laying for almost a month back in February. I checked their feed, changed the lighting, even took a fecal sample to the vet. $60 later they said everything was fine. Turns out they were just sick of their same old coop setup. I hung a cabbage on a string and threw in some scratch and boom, eggs the next morning. Has anyone else's flock gone on strike for no real reason?

Isn't that always how it goes with us too?

Went to grab my lunch from the break room fridge last week and someone had taken my tupperware... just empty space where my leftovers should be. Had to walk to the vending machine and get a bag of chips and a sad granola bar for lunch. Then the next day I find my container in the sink, empty, with my name still on it. Same kind of deal I guess, people just take what they want and leave you to deal with the mess.
