Serious question, has anyone seen a hen's comb go pale in 2 days from a hidden mite problem?
My barred rock's comb was bright red on Sunday and by Tuesday it looked almost pink and waxy, and a vet tech friend told me to flip her over and check under the wings, where I found tiny gray specks moving along the shaft of the feathers.
