My neighbor told me my chickens were "too loud" so I changed their whole coop setup

Old lady next door came over last month complaining about early morning noise. Turns out my rooster was sleeping right next to the fence. I moved the coop 15 feet further into my yard and added a thick row of bushes for sound dampening. Cost me about $60 for the plants but now she waves at me instead of giving dirty looks. Anyone else have neighbors complain about noise?

$60 sounds cheaper than a therapist, and the bushes hide the chicken drama too.

Well, did you get a certificate of appreciation from the local chicken society, or just a wave? I guess for $60 you bought yourself some peace and quiet, which is probably cheaper than a moving truck for your coop. It's funny how a little landscaping can turn a grumpy neighbor into a friendly one, almost like you tricked her into being nice. Maybe I should try planting a few bushes between me and the guy who complains about my dog barking at squirrels. That might be cheaper than all the bags of treats I've been tossing over the fence.
