My grandpa's rooster advice finally made sense after 3 years of hens

He always said 'never keep two roosters unless you want a feather tornado' and I thought he was just being dramatic, but last spring I tried it with a young one and an older one and within 6 days the yard looked like a pillow fight gone wrong, so has anyone else learned the hard way that the old timers were right about chicken pecking order?
