My automatic chicken coop door jammed shut at midnight and I had to go outside in my pajamas

Last Tuesday I got that fancy solar powered auto door for my coop. Worked great for about 3 days. Then at 11:30 PM I heard my rooster going absolutely NUTS. Went out there and the door was stuck halfway down with one hen trapped inside. Had to manually crank it open with a screwdriver in the dark while getting pecked. Any of you had issues with those automatic doors getting jammed by debris or weather?

Oh man, that exact same thing happened to me last week with my auto door! I had to crawl under the coop in the rain at 1am to unstick a twig that got wedged in the track.

Good grief, you crawled under the coop in the rain? That is some serious dedication to your birds. I would have just let the crazy rooster yell until morning and dealt with it after my coffee.
