The day I picked cedar over pressure treated for my raised beds

I spent a solid three hours at the lumber yard last spring trying to decide between cedar and pressure treated pine for my vegetable garden. The price difference was about $100 for 6 beds, and I went with the cedar mostly because I worried about chemicals getting into the soil. Three months later the cedar started turning that nice silvery grey, and now a year later there is zero rot. Has anyone else made this same call for their garden projects?

I did the exact same thing last spring with my 4 beds, it cost me about 60 bucks more but I sleep better not worrying about chemicals leaching into my carrots...

Used to think the whole chemical fear was overblown, but after looking into it more I totally get it @carr.blake. Did you go with treated or untreated wood for the beds?
