Spent a whole Saturday building a pergola only to realize the posts were 3 inches off square

Measured twice, cut once... but I guess I forgot to check the diagonals. Anyone else have a build day where one tiny mistake cost you hours of backtracking?

and then the whole rest of the day is just trying to fix that one thing without making it worse.

Yeah I did the same thing on a fence gate last summer. Ended up using a come along to pull the posts back and it worked way better than I expected. @piper_thompson31 you're right it's a whole day of fighting it after that first screw up.
