Heard a neighbor complain about his deck warping, made me check mine

Was grabbing mail yesterday and overheard this guy two houses down yelling about how his brand new pressure treated deck boards are all cupping after just one summer. I went home and found three of my own boards starting to curl on the edges where I didn't leave enough gap. Anyone else have trouble with how much space to leave between boards for drainage?

Three eighths inch gap works best for drainage.

Honestly yeah, I've had perfect results with that exact gap size too.
