A friend of mine trusted his phone's GPS on a backcountry trip. It dumped him in a ravine with no signal.

Trust a tiny screen to guide you through actual wilderness... next thing you know, you're trying to get a signal by holding your phone up to the sky like some kind of tech sacrifice. Been there, talking to squirrels because the map just showed a spinning circle. My friend once followed a 'shortcut' on his app and ended up in a creek. Paper doesn't need updates or batteries, it just sits there being right. We all learn the hard way, I guess.
