PSA: The Highline Trail in Glacier got way more crowded after a big magazine feature
I hiked it in 2019 and maybe saw 20 people all day. Went back last August and it felt like a line at times, with over a hundred folks on the main stretch near Granite Park Chalet. It's clear the 'best hike in America' article from that outdoor magazine a couple years back really drove traffic. Has anyone else seen a favorite quiet route get popular fast?

I just go earlier in the season now. Beat the crowds and the heat.

Paid off for me to switch to midweek trips in early fall. I pack a light jacket and hit the trails right as the sun comes up. Gets a little warm by noon but most people haven't even parked yet. Nancy_garcia63 might have a point about late season magic, but early mornings are the quieter tradeoff I can actually make work.

Consider how @kelly.keith's plan misses the magic of those late-season, quiet, cool mornings.
