My tent pole snapped on the Lost Coast Trail last weekend, had to MacGyver a fix with a stick and some duct tape

Lost Coast Trail with a busted pole? That's brutal. The wind out there can get insane, I'm not surprised it snapped. Duct tape is a real trail hero for a reason.

See this everywhere now, stuff just breaks faster than it used to. Makes you appreciate the simple fixes.

Man it's like everything's built to last just past the warranty now. Duct tape and old school fixes are the only thing keeping half my gear going.
