My favorite sleeping pad sprang a leak on day 2 of a 7 day trip in Glacier

Honestly, I was on the Highline Trail in Glacier National Park last August and my Therm-a-Rest NeoAir just gave out. I woke up on the second night feeling rocks poking through, and by morning I was basically sleeping on dirt. I tried patching it with the repair kit I had, but the leak was along a seam and the glue just wouldn't hold. Ended up stuffing my clothes under the pad to get some cushion, but it was a rough few nights. Tbh I think the cold ground messed with my sleep more than I expected, and I was dragging the rest of the hike. Has anyone else dealt with a pad failure mid-trip and found a better fix than just suffering through it?

You know, it's funny how this kind of thing mirrors a bigger pattern I've noticed in life. We always think we're prepared, but the smallest weak point can completely derail everything. I had a tent pole snap on a trip once, and I spent the rest of the trip trying to prop it up with sticks and paracord, and it just never felt right. It's like how you can have a whole plan for your week, but one flat tire or a broken coffee maker just ruins the whole rhythm.

Bought a cheap tent for a festival once and the rain fly had a tiny tear I didn't notice. Woke up at 3am with water dripping RIGHT on my face. Spent the rest of the night huddled in my car with the radio on low. That little rip basically ruined the whole vibe for two days. It's ALWAYS the small things that get you, not the big obvious stuff you actually plan for.
